Both ends of the hammock bed have a thick Cumaru wood spreader bar that is five times denser than pine, cedar, and redwood.

Strung through the spreader bars on each end of the hammock is our soft-spun synthetic DURACORD® rope in the color Oatmeal.

Hanging chains are made of galvanized steel for rust resistant strength and added support.

Despite the advanced weatherability of a Nags Head Hammock, we do always recommend storing it in an enclosed dry place away from harsh chemicals and foraging wildlife during prolonged bad weather and other protracted periods when it's going unused, to ensure its longest possible life.
