The Extra-Wide Rope Hammock is a full 60 inches wide and roughly 13½-14 feet long, making this ample hammock perfect for date night under the stars. Every hammock is hand-woven in your choice of two synthetic-rope styles, soft-spun polyester or DuraCord®, and features Cumaru spreader bars. Both rope styles are made for prolonged weather exposure that are resistant to rot, mold and mildew that have a softness to rival cotton. DuraCord® also has the added distinction of being exceptionally resistant to abrasion, staining and fading — in fact, there's no more colorfast rope on the market today.

The 4-ply Cypress Roman Arc Hammock Stand has an inherent handsomeness with a provocative design recalling the grand sweep of the frame of a bygone sailing ship. It's constructed of distinctive and sturdy Southern Cypress wood that naturally ages to a kind of pewter-gray, though it also takes to varnish. Maintaining this stand's original lustrous sheen is as easy as some light-grit sandpaper and a couple of coats of quality stain, or linseed oil.

Hanging chains and hardware are galvanized steel, for added support and superior rust protection.

Despite the advanced weatherability of a Nags Head Hammock, we do always recommend storing it in an enclosed dry place away from harsh chemicals and foraging wildlife during prolonged bad weather and other protracted periods when it's going unused, to ensure its longest possible life.

Note: Your own rope hammock may at first appear slightly shorter than the advertised length, but will reach its full length after its ropes naturally stretch through initial use.
